The datenum() is 1030402 + year() = 103 which is 2003 ie 2003-1900, then
month 04 then date 02
There was a post recently explaining the reasoning behind this, something to
do with the way numbers are stored in the programming languages and errors
will creep in with 8 digit numbers, with the rounding of the last digit. So
TJ set datenum as 7 digit number in AB.
In the date functions it is shown as you have set it in windows defaults eg
dd/mm/yyyy would show the above as 02/04/2003

Thanks for that - I'm just starting to have a play with them now.
Now this might seem dumb - but in OZ we have different format for
entering dates - and I can't for the hell of me figure out what date
1021202 that is used in the afl's is?
How is the date expressed?
