You could try SP500 = iif( name()==”SP500”,1.0);
Just remember to be careful with capitals etc as I think they need to
match exactly, otherwise include an OR for lowercase and uppercase.

And look up PlotSymbol in the help section in AFL section

I want to set variables in my scripts depending upon the ticker.
 
SP500 = iif(ticker=="SP500", 1, 0).
 
Does anyone know how I achieve this?
 
Also how can I plot symbols on the main chart much like you'd do in
Metastock?
