Ken,

There are 2 ways of operation:
a) go directly from Symbol->Watch list menu
b) select the watch list from the tree and right click over it and select "Type in symbols".

In case a) you have to select the "destination" watch list from the tree anyway.
the difference is the case a) allows you to select 
the watch list and scroll somewhere else to see other part of the tree
before you choose Symbol->Watch list.

In the next beta I will add a new dialog so pre-selecting is not necessary in case a)
