Nick,
I experienced the same problem of missing symbols with the Quotes Plus
data plugin. My problem was similar insofar as some of the missing
symbols were in Group 253, but even when I removed them from Group
253, they still did not appear in backtests and explorations.
And if I remember correctly, I could not even display the chart for
the missing symbol even though they were accessable from native Quotes
Plus software.
While I don't understand why these symbols disappered, here is what I
did to refresh the Amibroker 'view' of the Quotes Plus database:
Delete the C:\Program Files\Amibroker\Data subdirectory
Exit Amibroker
Launch Amibroker
Do File -> Database Settings -> Configure -> Retrieve to rebuild pointers
Again, I don't understand what causes the problem, but the above steps
cured my problem.
It would be nice if Tomasz could explain what is happening to cause
this problem (and verify that the steps I took are appropriate).
Regards,
Phsst
