solid green up arrow is a Buy,  a hollow green up arrow is a Cover. If you are 
talking about the plotshapes functions go to help,  there is a list of the 
different shapes available.

  could someone tell me where the difference is 
  between the solid trade arrows and the "other" ones.
   
  Pluse, when would one to see trade arrows for 
  "raw signals" as opposed to the ones for "actual trades".
   
  I may have overlooked that in the help
