RE: [amibroker] QT with EOD version using RT charts

Thanks mark
I am already with cable, and just limit the QT to keep within 3000MB
limit. The 50 stocks @ 1 minute through Etrade seems to have increased
the bandwidth by only about 50MB per day (1GB/mth). Be careful as I know
they are all different bandwidth from different suppliers. I have some
data on this for a few I am interested in, but the QT forum guys
(Medved's) can answer that one where I got the info from. Eg Etrade
3200B/quote, Sanford 100B/quote, TDWaterhouse 5800B/quote, Comsec
28,000B/quote

Cheers,
Graham

Graham,

AB allows 20 sheets which can easily hold 5 readable charts each,
providing your 100 charts. I'm pretty sure charting in AB is only
limited (in a practical sense) by screen real-estate.

RT Quote window is not limited to 10 in RT version (unlimited?). (My
preference would be that each watchlist could become an RT quote
window, since the RT Quote window with many stocks in it quickly
becomes unmanageable.)

Where you will find potential problems is in the amount of data being
downloaded via QT (possibly dependent on data feed QT is using), and
the speed of operation with higher numbers of stocks over a slower
internet connection. I had a rude awakening after watching approx 120
ASX stocks via QT/Westpac Broking for about 4 hours/day for a month
over a DOV/ISDN internet connection when my ISP's bill came through (I
was paying $0.20c/MB download) for $AU220.00 for that month! I have
since moved and upgraded to ADSL and a far better (much faster and
much more data) solution overall for $AU99/month.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

	Mark
