I wish I could! I am still in the learning stage. Now if I was 
proficient at afl, I would try using the vix as a variable input to 
whatever you choose. The higher the vix, the faster your indicator 
would look back in history and the faster it would change. Not sure 
if I am making myself clear.

I mostly just watch it along with several indices. Looking for 
extremes.
