Follow-Up: Off-Topic: Suggestions for Online Brokers

Just a follow-up to the group.  A fewpeople
on this group responded to my original message (see bottom of this
message).  I was most curious about Interactive Brokers service
(whether they support "one-triggers-other" orders).  Someone on the
group thought they did and I was under the same impression but could not confirm
it on IB's website - hence my query to the group.  Someone also suggested
Cyber Trader, I think.  That was totally clear to me on their website,
though they offer something of the sort.  However, their commissions are
worse than my present discount broker.

Anyway, for your information, I present the
following response from the IB "help" folks.  (They must have over-looked
my second question.)

If anyone has alternative suggestions, I'm all
ears.

Thank you.

Michael

questionFolks,I am not able to determine from your "Order
Information" page whether or not onecan place "one-triggers-other"
orders.  If so, can you provide details. In addition, I would be a
non-professional trader.  Aside from your very nicecommissions, amI
correct in understanding that the only additional fees wouldbe a $10 monthly
data fee (paid in arrears) if I do not exceed $30 incommissions during a
month?Thank you for your time.Michael

Subject: Off-Topic: Suggestions for Online Brokers

Folks,

Can you recommend any online (direct access)
brokers that allow placement of "conditional" orders.  For example, I'd
like to be able to place a buy/sell order and a corresponding stop loss order
conditional upon the execution of the buy/sell order.  Because I'm nota
full-time trader, I cannot not always count on being able to monitor the status
of an opening order to then "promptly" place an accompanying stop loss
order.

I've looked at Interactive Brokers,
BrokerageAmerica and FreeTrade.  I cannot discern from their online
documents whether they support such order entry.

Your assistance is appreciated.  Thanks in
advance.

Michael
