Your problem was different ($NOQUOTES mode was on and only watch list was assigned and this change
didn't cause "dirty" status of the symbol so it won't get saved when doing File->Save Database) but it is fixed
in 4.16 and it is no longer there.
Herman imports quotes ($NOQUOTES is set to zero) and even using previous versions even 3.xx
I can import his file without any problem.
Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko

Hi Herman,
It sounds like you may be having a slightly different problem but...I hada somewhat similar problem using Import Wizard recently - I would import tickers into a watchlist, and it created the list OK, but AB would not save the list on exit, so it was gone the next time I started AB . I solved thattrouble by renaming the watchlist before exiting AB. Just throwing this out there in case it helps you. I have reported my problem to TJ.

No luck Rick. Everything goes fine: the procedure seems to work flawless, no error msgs. But when i am done and look for the stock it can not be found anywhere :-) tried it a dozen times, also by creating a new stock first.
You think the name ~DT is the cause? I will try the procedure with someother data and names... perhaps my AB is corrupted and I need to reinstall..
Best regards,
Herman

Herman,
Did you do Symbol, New Stock and put the ~DT in the stock tree?

Subject: [amibroker] Import Problem
Hello,
I am trying to import date from a csv file that looks like this:
I click: File -> Import Wizard -> (Pick my file) -> Next -> Define fields (YMD,Skip Vol) -> Select Watchlist, Comma, Log.Errors, Aut.Add New Stocks, -> Next -> Finish... some processing, no error msgs. Seems fine...
But I can find my ~DT ticker/file anywhere? Tried Find... no luck.
What am I doing wrong?
Many thanks!
Herman.
