The program is so low in cost and the power of it and the helpfulness of the
community will help you make the cost back in the first trade you make. You
will spend more in gas and time than in the program itself. I understand
your cautiousness, but if you have been reading messages here, you should
have some sense that what I say is correct.
My recommendation is to download the trial and then buy the thing.
