When you import ASCII format are you clicking on the yellow icon with blue arrow ?
This window has name "in ami language (combo box)".In this window you can click on
the bottom,next to "files of type" and pick different format to extract your data.
This is how it works.
I have find the best way to learn about AMI functions to go back in forum messages and
look for subject about your problem.
