Being a devotee
of ADX, you might consider RAVI--Range Action Verification Index--describedby
Chande in his 2nd edition book "Beyond TA".

Re: QQQ Individual Analysis
b,
I am a student of Chuck LeBeau's. To read up on the use of the ADX as a
trigger for the beginning of a trend, go to <A
href="">http://traderclub.com/cgi-bin/discus/show.cgi?107/107 and
read bulletins 5 and 6. Admittedly, the ADX has its limitations, but it ain't
too bad as an entry trigger for a rising or falling trend, based on my
backtesting. Also, in my post, I said I try to avoid use of indicators as much
as possible. I didn't say entirely exclude all of them. Keep in mind, I'm a
trend-following advocate, not a counter-trend, short term trader. You don'tneed
a lot of indicators to get you in and out when you are looking for long term
trends. With shorter term systems, your reliance on indicators becomes more
critical, I think. But, I'm willing to change my views if I can be convinced
otherwise. Al Venosa
