Hello,
The point is that when you are installing the
UPGRADE
you should NOT modify destination directory in
the setup program because
setup program DETECTS previous installation and installs
it in the CORRECT place.
Problems begin when you start to point the installer tothe
directory forgetting the fact
that setup creates AmiBroker directory inside the directory
you have choosen.
Best regards,Tomasz

I
had a similar problem and discovered that the install put the new copy ina
directory under the one that had my old copy. When I moved the new broker.exe
to the old directory it worked fine. I think the file brokey.dll is what
controls the registration so you can copy that from your
backup.

Amibroker 4.0 ?
Dear Tomasz,
Although I repeated the usual procedure, the
installation gives me an unregistered version.
Did I miss something ?
Steps
1. Create a copy of previous 3.90
2. Download from <A
href="">http://www.amibroker.com/bin/AmiBroker400up.exe
[All systems upgrade only]
3. Install 4.0 over the 3.90 copy
Any advice ?
Best Regards
