RE: [amibroker] Loading QP Lists into AB

Tomasz,

I have found that I can load a list of stock symbols only using the
Import Wizard. I set all but the first column to "skip" and check the
box labeled "No Quotation Data". This allows me to load my list of
symbols to one of the Watch Lists. Unfortunately, AB still wants to
assign any new symbols to a Market and to an Industry. It uses the 0
occurrence in both cases as a default.

The new release sounds great! As a new comer to AB, how can I get the
Beta release?

Thanks,
Ron

Hello Ron,

Currently you can only organize your stocks after importing via
AmiFeed using Stock->Organize assignments.

This will change very soon with the introduction of direct QP2
data reading (beta will be released this weekend).
In addition to eliminating the need to import quotes from QP2,
this version will add automatic industry assignment for QP2 users.

Indexes - there is a "index" checkbox in the Stock->Information window.
If you check it - the symbol will appear under "Indexes" category.

Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko
