differences between Win98 and Win2K which were developed completely separately
(Win 3.1 -> Win95 -> Win98 -> WinME as distinct from WinNT ->
Win2K), WinXP is finally the long overdue merging of the two product streams.
Therefore, apart from different networking and other feature deliveries of the
two base product types - XP Home and XP Pro - (and therefore asking prices)I
would suspect basic compatibilities like those required for game playing would
essentially be much the same (between XP Home and XP Pro). This is my assumption
only, so better informed corrections are certainly
welcomed.

Thanks TJ 256 k memory should be enough
..

I was looking at the Home version of xp which I
think is more along the lines of win 98 as the kids use the pc too so it needs
to run the older games etc

I guess dual booting is an option

Hello,

No, I haven't tested AmiBroker on Windows XP
yet, but it was tested on Win2000
so there should be no problems.

Are you switching to XP? Just be warned that
the XP itself allocates 96 MB at startup!
Don't install it if you have less than128MB
RAM, otherwise you will get constant
disk drive spinning.

Best regards,
