specification for yahoo Quote Download ?
Hello,
There are two servers, one for daily (current)
quotes - quote.yahoo.com
and one for historical quotes:
chart.yahoo.com
The first server accepts the "f"
parameter which defines the format of data line.
AmiQuote for .AQD files uses
"f=snl1d1t1c1ohgv";
which is s - symbol, n - name, l1 - last (1 -
the most recent) quote, d1 - date of the last quote, t1 - time of the
last quote, c1 - change of the last quote (since prev close)
o - open, h - high, g - low, v -
volume
It was guessing game to find it out
:-)
The second server accepts
parameters that Peter described.<FONT face=Tahoma

Thanks Peter,
I thinks this should cover most of historical quote
download !
I was wonder if there where somewhere a more complete
description of all csv download ?
For example if you download directly from the Yahoolink,
you have:
<A
href="">http://finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=^VIX+^IXIC+^NDX&f=st5l9c6p4b1a3&e=.csv
So is it possible to describe what exactly the
string f=st5l9c6p4b1a3 <FONT
color=#000000>do ?
