John,
This begins to address my very first comments about modifiying the <30 >70 issue. AB can do this easily, and for a lot less than
$299 US.
This is a first step. The second step is to think critically about the indicators. Some of them are arithmetically pretty but
don't work as strongly in the area of interest, eg the RSI losses sensitivity exactly where we most want to think about buying or
selling. Problems also aply to others such as MACD which has ema, therefore I will use a differential approach.
AB is fast and powerful and can very quickly be used to play with these new variations. I suspect the limit is ones own imaginative
powers to conceive new things. But also required is the "stick-to-itiveness" to understand the subtleties of what is happening.
None of these thoughts are mine exclusively. I have seen them periodically in books and on the internet. I think if you design
your own or adapt something and stick with it you'll have more ownership of the process and likely to be prepared to extract what it
may offer.
Anyhow, for now I've probably stoked that fire enough.
