I need a bit of help understanding how workspaces and updating
interact. I've reread the docs but have not found the answer to my
problem.
I have 3 or 4 workspaces. The main one is stored in the default
location (Ambroker/Data/). Some of the others are in other folders in
the Ambroker folder (for example, Ambroker/WS_Fold_1) and some are
elsewhere on my hard drive. Up till now I have only updated the main
workspace (the one in the Ambroker/data/ folder). The others were all
used for backtesting and I had never tried to update them until
today.
The problem is I can not get these others to update. I have probably
missed something so here is what I am doing. I would appreciate being
told what I extra step I need to take.
1. I open the workspace I want to update.
2. I click on Tool/Auto-update quotes (Canada & US).
3. AmiQuote automatically opens, displays the list of stocks to
update, goes through its cycle normally (waiting... downloading...
complete... importing) and stops.
4. Although AmiQuote had the "Automatic Import" box checked and when
finished its status says "imported", my stock data does not update.
The charts do not show today's data. The markets have been closed for
5 hours now so it can't be that.
5. Any tips?
