Bill,

thanks very much for your assistance on this. I
tried to check back with Barclays on behalf of the IYR - answer is still
pending.

May I still bother to ask if you have the DJ US
Real-estate-index file as well. I´m trying to figure out if there´s anytracking
error between the two and how to maybe be able to exploit it (as well as with
other index/ETF relationships).

Once I have them, I can go ahead and update thru
Yahoo from there...

Thanks a lot again and good trading to
you

Markus

Markus:

iShares are a relatively new series.
International funds started in '96, but sectors at a later date.  As
far as I can tell, IYR started trading 6/19/00.  It is possible that
Morgan Stanley followed the IYR fund for a period of time before it was
traded, and if so they may be willing to let you have that
data.

Dear Bill, you were right: IYR is an iShare
(surprisingly, a "regular" real-estatesector INDEX doesn´t seemto
exist though there are many other indices forother sectors (as well as
tracking stocks)).My data supplier only carries it since April
´01. Yahoo Finance thruAmiQuote provides data since July
2000.I´d like to get as much data as possible (reasons: seemy
ealier post toPeter).5-10 years were just fine, first dayof
trading were awesome. If you could provide MetaStock
format...Markus----- Original Message -----From: <<A
