Re: Help for a novice?

Hello novice,
I too am just learning this program, so I don't know too much, but I
did come across some examples you might want to look at. First,
having to do with the Moving Average crossovers you mentioned, take a
look at the User guide selectable through the help button or your
programs/ shortcut menu and expand the contents list and look
under "AmiBroker Formula Language" and " AFL Tools" scroll down just
a little in the right pane and you will see some examples of
crossover formulas that with the addition of a few numbers should get
you what you want. Also, I found that it was real handy to print out
the list of functions in the Help/ User Guide under "AmiBroker
Formula Language" and "AFL Function Reference". I printed out a lot
of the User Guide just in case some day I get a bright idea (if that
ever happens) I have instructions at my fingertips. As for what is
the best way to learn AFL , I have been just modifying existing files
until I figure out just how each function works.
I hope this is helpful
Good Luck
Brian
