Attached is a detailed industry list for the ASX. I modified Tomasz script.
The list for the stocks was taken from the ASX site just a few days ago, soit's upto date. the first catagory is "non-current", if tickers are imported that are not on the list they will show up there, they most probably arenot upto date.
I still have to put in the indices.
