Arrows on custom chart do not show...

Is it a requirement when using the commentary and wanting to see the 
arrows for buy and sell signals to be using the default chart? Or 
should I be able to use any custom chart to get the signals. 

Or do I need to do something in the commentary section to point to
the chart(graph window) that I want the arrows to appear?
