Just to avoid misunderstanding:
1. AmiBroker supports Metastock both 7.0x and 
6.52 databases with upto 255 securities per folder
2. AmiBroker handles END-OF-DAY databases only. 
INTRA-DAY are not supported.
3. The format of Metastock 7.0x differs from 
that of 6.52 with two things:
    a) Y2K compliancy - this is 
handled 100% by AmiBroker
    b) support for upto 
4096 stocks per Metastock database - and this feature will be added to 
AmiBroker soon
4. AmiBroker itself and its own database format HAS 
NO LIMITS on number of stocks/quotes per database.
 
If you still having problems importing quotes from 
Metastock database please send me
the one you have problems with to <A

Are you saying that AmiBroker cannot handle 
MetaStock version 7.0X?  If so, then that is the problem.  Ifso, 
do you plan to be able to handle that in the near 
future?

This may happen if you try to import 
Metastock databases that contain more than 255 securities in one 
folder.
AmiBroker currently reads only format used 
by version 6.5 that supported only 255 stocks per folder.

Data Loading Problem

Although loading MetaStock data appearsto be 
very simple, I have run into problems.  
 
I use the MetaStock Import function, specify 
where the files are and click Import.  All of the symbols are 
imported, but only some of the symbols have data associated with 
them.  The MetaStock files all have data and are successfully 
accessed by other programs.  A screen shot of the Market Review 
screen shows what I am trying to describe.
 
Does anyone have a clue as to what is going 
on?
