RE: [amibroker] Mutual Funds

I download my fund quotes here in Canada from www.canada-stockwatch.com. I
do it as a two step process without the aid of AMIQUOTE. In other words, I
go to the web site, download all Canadian Mutuals Fund data for the day and
secondly, I import them into AMIBROKER as ASCII. The quotes at this site
and at Quicken Canada come in a format like this: FID*BAL which stands for
Fidelity Balanced. Tomasz set the import feature in AMIBROKER to either
strip or convert the * character. Once he did this it worked fine. I can
download all Canadian Mutuals to my harddrive and import them into AMIBROKER
in less than 3 minutes each night. If the fund quotes you are trying to
download have an unusual character in the symbol field, contact Tomasz and
he will fix the import feature to work. I have been using AmiBroker for
over a year and I know it works well with either funds or stocks. The best
feature about the program is Tomasz. He is approachable, helpful and open
to suggestions. Good luck with your funds.

Thank you for writing. It is a comfort to know this can be done. Please
tell me, however, how- or from where- you download the mutual fund prices.
Using AmiQuote, the quotations I get back will not run in AmiBroker. Thanks
again for your help.
