The changes/fixes/new stuff in this version certainly improve
AmiBroker's usability. I look forward to taking advantage of nearly all
of the improvements in this version. I haven't used the Metastock
importer, and do not write ARexx scripts although I'm sure if there is
significant benefit to the additional ARexx functionality, it will
likely be taken advantage of in Donald's DalleySuite. :-)
I suspect it was a problem with my system rather than AmiBroker itself,
however, I would like to mention that installing this update (3.2) seems
also to have cured a problem I was having with Chip RAM when using
AmiBroker (3.17). I have 2M Chip RAM, 128M Fast RAM, CyberGraphX 3
(latest version), Picasso II+ (2M) and picture.datatype 43.764
(08/01/98) installed; most Chip RAM usage should be redirected to Fast
RAM on my system. I noticed that starting AmiBroker 3.17 would reduce
my available Chip RAM from ~1.9M to ~0.4M, and would not release it when
quitting... and using <AVAIL FLUSH> would not release it. As I type
this in CygnusEd Pro V4.20, I have AmiBroker 3.20 running on it's own
screen, and MiamiDX, AmiComSys, STRICQ, THOR, AWeb-II and a ToolManager
Dock all open on an MUI PubScreen separate from Workbench and there is
~1.86M Chip RAM available.
Thanks! :-)
