Hi, Tomasz:
With long histories (anything over ~4 years), weird values in the main
window's grab bar still appear for the eariest quote in the window -
dates are nonsense, HIGHs are over 15 digits long and LOWs are
probably all 0.00. I sometimes think of these quotes as mirage quotes -
they don't really exist. For instance, I don't really have a quote with
a date of 74-14-14 in the history, but AB says there is one.
This is not a consistant thing - just before I started this message
I saw them in a 35+ year history. Now, I can't reproduce it, and I have
not rebooted, restarted AB or done anything else unusual. This is not
a new problem - I have seen it happen for a few years, now.
Would this be related to large numbers (a price isn't that big), or
something else?
And why would it affect the left-most quote only?
Also, using the left-right cursor keys, when long histories are
displayed, don't always respond the way they should. The selected
quote indicator line waits until the cursor key is repeatedly pressed
before it moves, skipping over that many quotes when it finally does
move. The longer the history displayed, the more key presses and
skipping is involved.
This also affects the ARexx exportation of a stock's history - many
quotes are missing.
