Donald R. Bright - After receiving his dual Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the California College
of Commerce in 1971, Don spent his next few years in Public Accounting. By 1975 he tired of "counting other peoples money" and went into
business for himself. In 1979 he became a member of the Pacific Stock Exchange(options market maker). In 1981 he, with his brother Robert,
started Bright Equities, a fulfillment equity brokerage for exchange members. Within a few months the business flourished, primarily due to the
lower costs and quick executions offered by the firm. In the early years the Bright brothers were told that they could not compete with the
entrenched interests on the equities floor, and were discouraged from doing so. This only added to their motivation to provide better and more
inexpensive services. In the mid-eighties the firm was passed on to others to run the daily operations, and Don returned to making markets on
the options floor.
In 1989, Mr. Bright left the exchange to pursue another passion, making the environmentally correct business successful. He joined with Gary Starr at Solar Electric Engineering, which became U.S. Electricar. When Mr. Bright joined the firm there were only a handful of employees in one location…when he left the firm, there were several hundred employees in several nationwide locations. During his tenure there, he served as a Member of the Board, V.P. of Marketing, V.P. of Shareholder Relations and in other management roles. After leaving U.S. Electricar, Mr. Bright again joined with Gary Starr in the formation of ZAP Electric Bikes, which is now flourishing, and is doing its' second Direct Public Offering (on the Internet).

In 1995, Don again joined with his brother and Edward Franco to assist in the growth of Bright Trading, Inc. He started Bright Marketing and Management to focus on recruiting and retention of qualified day-traders. In the years that followed, Don literally answered hundreds of questions about trading in general, equity trading in detail, option and index relationships to the overall marketplace, etc. Don also added the Internet site, stocktrading.com to further assist current and future traders. It was then that Mr. Bright decided to host Seminars that could reach more people with an interest in securities trading. During 1996, he helped Bright Trading by setting up and speaking at several of their conferences. In 1997, after seeing the gap between the "get rich quick" type of presentations, and the costly (up to $5,000 per week) training courses, he decided to start Investor Awareness, Inc. With the current interest in the market growing rapidly, and the decades of experience and network of professional friends, it is the intention of Investor Awareness to fill that informational gap.
