I had been looking at a stock noticing the trend when this book arrived . The trend I saw was instantly identified in this book as the expansion breakout strategy.I bought shares the next day and for the next 2 days made $12,000. Pretty good for a beginner. I like the way he advises how to trade in a way that minimizes your losses if the strategy doesnt work which he honestly admits -no strategy is a 100% sure thing.

BigBoard2@aol.com, 05/19/97, rating=10: Wish I had *started* my trading with this book Jeff Cooper says that 1- he makes his living day-trading the stock market, and 2- that this book shows how he does it. My trading in the last six months indicates both of those things should be true. My own weekly trading income has gone up since I started using this book. That's the ONLY test there is of a book on the markets and this is one of the few worth the price.

It's hard to say all the good things this guy has taught me, but to sum it up: you don't have to be a day trader to profit from some of the techniques taught in Hit and Run. I use them to trade over the Internet from half way accross the world. Wimal Samaras Sydney, Australia

H&R gave me the possibility to exclude the subjectivity from my trading, without giving up the pleasure of deciding personally when to enter/exit a trade. Obviously, there are a lot of tools [in the book] , and this gives the reader the possibility of choosing which best fit his needs.
