Green Mountain Asset Management Corp. is a
Registered Investment Advisor, and as such manages
discretionary investment portfolios on a fee only basis.
The firm was founded March 31, 1987, when its current
President and principal owner resigned his position as
Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, Trust Department,
Chittenden Bank, Burlington, VT, where he had direct
investment responsibility for over $400 million dollars.
Since then, the firm has grown continuously by adhering to
its disciplined investment philosophy and by delivering
solid investment returns, at reduced levels of risk, for
individuals, pension and profit sharing funds, and 401(k)
plans.
Robert A. Bose, President and Senior Portfolio Manager,
graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, CT in 1967 with
a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, with a dual major in
Economics and Government, and from Columbia Business School
in 1969 with an MBA degree and a dual major in Finance and
Marketing. Upon graduation, he joined the investment banking
firm of Hornblower & Weeks, Hemphill Noyes, within their
Investment Advisory Group, as a Portfolio Manager, rising to
the position of Vice President - Economist. He and his wife
relocated to Vermont in 1974, pursuing private investments in
retailing and real estate, as well as financial assets, before
joining the Chittenden Bank in 1983. His cumulative direct
experience as a professional portfolio manager is in excess of
twenty years.
